Android widget · desktop companion
Your AI usage limits, at a glance.
Meterkat shows how much of your Claude and Codex usage limits you have used, right on your home screen and in a quiet notification. A small companion on your computer reads the numbers from the tools you're already signed in to. They reach your phone end-to-end encrypted.
Free. No account, no ads, no tracking.
Widget and notification
5-hour and weekly limits as bars, with reset times. Switch between used and remaining. The notification stays quiet and goes away when you dismiss it.
End-to-end encrypted
Your computer encrypts every update before it leaves. The relay in between only passes on data it cannot read. The key travels in the QR code, never through the relay.
No account, no passwords
Meterkat never sees your Claude or ChatGPT sign-in. It asks the official command-line tools for the same usage report they show you.
How it works
Install the companion
Run it on the computer where Claude Code or the Codex CLI is signed in. It checks your limits about once a minute.
Pair your phone
The companion shows a QR code. Open it with Meterkat on your phone. Codes work once and expire after five minutes.
Glance
Add the widget or turn on the notification. Android refreshes it roughly every 15 minutes, or when you tap refresh.
Download the companion
Single-file programs with no installer and no administrator rights. They update themselves from GitHub; you can turn that off.

Latest release on GitHub Setup help
Then run meterkat setup in a terminal (Windows: .\meterkat-companion-…-windows-x64.exe setup). Setup finds your AI tools, installs itself for your user, asks whether to start with your computer and shows the pairing QR code.
The Windows build is not code-signed yet. If SmartScreen says "Windows protected your PC", choose More info → Run anyway. Each release lists SHA-256 checksums.
